Mystic Messenger is a South Korean fantasy otome or point and click visual novel game developed by Cheritz. It was launched on July 8, 2021 for Android and iOS. The game is characterized as a "one dimensional narrative messenger game" where the player makes decisions to advance the plot. It was previously released in Korean, English and Spanish.
The story begins in the city called angelsong. There is a mysterious force known as the mystic messenger who helps the hero in battle. The smartphone game has a male protagonist in it. He goes on a mission to find his missing father who went missing while on a business trip. His father was critically injured when a mysterious thief fired multiple rounds of bullets at his head.
To make up for this he sends out messengers who help people with their various problems such as getting a date, getting a job, and so on. The video game revolves around the events that unfold each day as these messengers help their clients resolve their problems. The hero can choose from different types of messengers to complete their mission.

As the story unfolds the hero gradually gains knowledge about different issues going around. One of these issues involves a young man called David, who went missing along the way. His mother had left him to go to the bank to transfer his savings. However, David had forgotten his wallet and his credit cards. His mom, sister, and one of the messengers found the missing boy and they managed to bring back his wallet and credit cards.

Upon returning home David met Rika, a girl he had never met before. Rika invited him to her party and asked him to join her fundraising association. Her invitation was posted on the Internet and thus the first introduction between the two took place. The mysterious messenger managed to get the group members to invite guests who were strangers to them for a mystery dinner.

At the end of the night Rika and David got into a fight which resulted in David losing his memory. At the beginning of the next morning David woke up and remembered his dream in which he had asked Rika to give him her email address. With this memory in his mind he went to the Internet and typed the e-mail address on the search bar and the website appeared. He was about to ask Rika again when he was approached by a hooded figure who wanted him to save the information he had just typed on the website.

In the second part of the story the hooded man asked David to help him look for his sister's missing brother. David agreed to this quest since he needed money for an important function the next day. The pair went to a garage and David was given the chance to look for clues that would help them track their sibling. The pair got back in the house and David tried to enter the computer room, but he was stopped by Rika who blocked the door. She explained that she could not let him go in there because her brother was still alive. Thus the first part of the story was about the search for correct answers, and in the second it was about the possible ways of getting the information they needed.
In the third part we get to know What Is Mystic Messenger better. We learn that the mystery group is composed of seven people who are named after the encryption which make them members of the organization. These include Riza, David, Chas, Rachel, Gloria, Ruth audio. The last four are mentioned as double agents of the group, which means that they double check the information they provide to ensure its accuracy. We also see that each of them has a different motive and that is what makes us understand what is mystic messenger better.
